In February 2011 the first Slovenian parliamentary delegation visited Iran and in 2013 the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Slovenia in the Iranian Islamic Parliament visited Slovenia. The peak of parliamentary relations between two countries was the visit made by Janko Veber, then the President of the Slovenian National Assembly accompanied by an Economic delegation in May 2014.
Also, Dr. Larijani President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran met Dr. Milan Berglez President of the Slovenian National Assembly in the sidelines of the World Conference of Parliament Speakers in New York in 2015.
Dr. Milan Berglez President of the Slovenian National Assembly has invited Dr. Larijani President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran to visit Slovenia.
